Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These terms and conditions apply to any vehicle rental contract entered into between PROMOTORS DRIVE SRL (CUI 36170421, J2016001232089) and the customer ("Renter") through promotorsdrive.ro or any direct contact channel (phone, WhatsApp, email).

2. Definitions

In these terms, the following words have this meaning:

• Owner — PROMOTORS DRIVE SRL, the fleet owner.
• Renter — the individual or company entering into the contract.
• Primary driver — the holder of the driving licence used at booking.
• Additional driver — any person authorised by the Renter to drive the car, named in the contract.
• Deposit — the amount pre-authorised on the Renter's card for the duration of the contract, per section 6.

3. Rental conditions

The Renter (or the designated driver) must be at least 24 years old with a valid category-B licence held for at least 2 year(s), a valid ID card or passport, and a valid bank card for the deposit pre-authorisation. For certain vehicle categories, the Owner reserves the right to require a minimum age of 25 and a licence held for at least 3 year(s).

4. Duration and rate

A rental day is 24 consecutive hours from handover. Returns more than 60 minutes late are billed as an extra day. Displayed rates include VAT. The discount ladder for longer rentals is shown on each vehicle's page.

5. Included mileage

Standard: 350 km/day. Unused kilometres do not roll over. Overage is billed at €0.50/km, settled at return.

6. The deposit

At handover, the Owner pre-authorises a variable amount on the Renter's card, depending on the vehicle class, between €0 and €0. The amount is NOT captured if the car is returned in the same condition — it is a pre-authorisation (hold), not a payment. Release happens within 14 business days, depending on the issuing bank.

7. Vehicle handover

At handover both parties sign a condition report (scratches, dents, mileage, fuel level, equipment), signed on paper or electronically. The Renter receives the car with a full tank, matching the contract's photos.

8. Vehicle return

The car is returned on the contracted date and time, at the agreed location, with a full tank (otherwise fuel plus a €100 refuelling fee is billed) and clean inside (otherwise a professional cleaning fee between €30 and €50 is billed).

9. Insurance

Every vehicle carries CASCO+RCA. The Renter is liable for the applicable excess per the contract. Insurance does NOT cover: driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driving by anyone not named in the contract, leaving the EU without the Owner's written consent, or use in motorsport.

10. Renter liability

The Renter is fully liable for traffic fines and road charges (vignette, tolls, parking), damage caused by gross negligence or breach of contract, loss of keys, documents, or plates (replacement fee between €500 and €5,000), and damage caused by unsecured items in the boot.

11. Cancellations and refunds

Cancelling at least 48 hours before pickup: 100% refund. Cancelling later, or a no-show: the rental fee is retained; the deposit (never captured in the first place) is released. Refunds, when due, land within 14 business days on the card used to pay.

12. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failing to perform its obligations in case of force majeure (natural disasters, armed conflict, or public-authority decisions that make performing the contract impossible), notified in writing within 5 days.

13. Disputes and ANPC

Disputes are settled amicably where possible. Otherwise, the Renter may contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC):
